Terms of Service
Last updated: June 11, 2026
By using the PII Masker website or Google Sheets add-on (the "Service"), you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
What the Service does
The Service masks and unmasks values in spreadsheets using a passphrase you provide. Processing happens on your device (website) or within your own Google account (add-on). We do not receive, store, or have access to your data or passphrase.
Your responsibilities
- You are responsible for choosing and remembering your passphrase. Masking is keyed solely by your passphrase, and it is never stored. If you lose it, the original data cannot be recovered.
- You are responsible for keeping backups of important data before masking it.
- You agree to use the Service only with data you are authorized to handle and in compliance with applicable laws.
No warranty
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or suitable for any specific compliance requirement.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any loss of data, arising from your use of the Service, including data that cannot be recovered due to a lost or incorrect passphrase.
Changes
We may update these terms; the current version is always posted on this page with the date above. Continued use after changes means you accept them.
